KB  Pipelines , Plant Hire is a Townsville based Company whom commenced trading in March 2008 when four brothers decided they had the skills, knowledge and experience to run a successful Pump Station and Pipeline Construction business.  By 2012, KB Pipelines was established across North Queensland completing projects for local government, developers and major contractors who have challenging infrastructure projects and need a team with the capabilities to complete the tough jobs, successfully and on time.

Our core team comprises Ricky, Craig, Peter and Reg Kim and the success of KB is based on the complementary range of skills each brings to the business, Our extensive pipeline construction experience and our base skills as pipe layers, concreters, steel fixers and plant operators allow us to complete all aspects of the works.

Up to 2012 KB operated as a subcontractor, preferring to let others take on the head contractor role along with responsibility for project administration, project management, managing supply issues and submitting final pricing.  Now, KB takes on projects as the Contractor, moving the project administration and project management roles in-house to create greater cost efficiency and deliver increased cost benefits to our clients.

At KB , our geographical focus is on projects across the Queensland.  We also have the capacity take on work in remote locations and have done so on previous occasions. 

KB  targets projects that can be substantially completed by our core team ensuring we maximise quality and efficiency while minimising the use of external subcontractors.

KB  is quickly building a reputation as one of the best pipeline and infrastructure construction companies in North Queensland.  This reputation is built our total focus on delivering quality outcomes for our clients and our ability to meet tight scheduling requirements.  At KB we are particularly proud of the fact that to date we got a have never failed to complete a project to the satisfaction of the client and within schedule.

KB offers skills in the repair and upgrade of State and local government infrastructure and experience in undertaking emergency repairs quickly and effectively.  We also offer extensive experience in the construction and upgrading of pump stations for water, sewerage and drainage.  Approximately 50% of our work is pipe line installation with the balance being pump stations and associated projects. 

Projects we have successfully completed include the Townsville CBD Upgrade, Flinders Street Mall redevelopment drainage, Campbell Street and Albany Road pump station (stormwater relief), Castletown Shopping Centre pump station (stormwater relief) and construction of sewerage , water & drainage infrastructure on new residential developments throughout Townsville.

We specialise in those jobs that other pipeline construction companies considered too difficult or too challenging.  We have built our reputation on successfully completing these projects, usually to tight timeframes and under difficult operating conditions.  We know we have the skills and experience to complete challenging projects successfully and we take particular pride from the fact that we can succeed where others are unwilling to try.
